1 Samuel 15:22-23
22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
The Scriptures above show us how important it is to obey God and do exactly what He tells us to do!
Psalm 24:1-5, 7-8
1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
I love reading these Scripture verses and knowing without a doubt Our Lord Jesus created this wonderful earth that we live on.

"Blog post for September 18th,2018"
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4.
It is so encouraging that the Lord will comfort us. He has comforted me more than I can remember!
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." Psalm 23:6. Goodness will follow you and me all the days of our lives!

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding."
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."
"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:"
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:28-31.
These verses of Scripture in Isaiah 40 were in our family devotions and they spoke to me.
"For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations." Psalm 22:28.
No matter what the people in this world say He is the governor and our ruler!!!!!!!!!

"Great things He hath done"
"Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes."
"Is it not wheat harvest to day? shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king."
"So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel."
I Samuel 12:16-18.
The Lord punished the people because they wanted a king and God didn't want them to have one.
"Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you." I Samuel 12:24.
May we all realize all the great things that God has done for us!!!

"Listening Ear"
"The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;"
"Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;"
Psalm 20:1-2.
I can't stress enough how much that God is with us in the time of our troubles. All you need to do is Pray for help and He will give you the help you need during that time of trouble.
"We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions." Psalm 20:5.
Praise God when He helps you through the difficult times and during the good times as well!

"Acceptable"
"The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether."
"More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb."
"Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."
Psalm 19:9-11.
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
Psalm 19:14.
Yes. Lord help me to speak kind words and to speak nicely of every person I come in contact with through my everyday living.
"Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth-el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:"
I Samuel 10:3.
I did not realize that this verse was in the Bible. I love learning new stuff that is in the Bible. There is just nothing like learning new things about God's Word. You don't see much in the Bible about men with kids and it just made my heart happy when I read that verse this morning!

"His way is Perfect"
"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."
"I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." Psalm 18:2-3.
The Lord truly is my rock, fortress, deliverer, God and strength. He is such an awesome Father! I couldn't make it a day without His help!
"As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." Psalm 18:30.
I'm so thankful that God's way is perfect!!!!!!!!!!

"Be happy and content"
You can always learn something new when you read your Bible. As I was reading in I Samuel 8 this morning/afternoon I learned that Samuel had a son named Joel which I didn't know.
"Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned (simulated or pretended; insincere) lips." Psalm 17:1
Verse 1 says that Jesus hears our cry's and Prayers.
"Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress." Psalm 17:3
Verse 3 says that Jesus hears us in the night time!
"I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech." Psalm 17:6
Verse 6 tells me that God is always listening to us and never ignores us. He truly is our best friend to talk to every hour!
"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, (contented; pleased.) when I awake, with thy likeness." Psalm 17:15
Verse 15 tells me we should awake and be happy! 🙂

"God First"
"Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us." I Samuel 7:12
Another reason in the Bible to prove to us that God will help us just like He did Samuel and the children of Israel.
"I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons."
"I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."
Psalm 16:7-8
Verse 8 is telling us to put God first in our lives!
"For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
Psalm 16:10-11
Verse 10 tells us that God will not leave our souls in hell and in Verse 11 it goes on to tell us that God will show us the path way of life!!!!!!!!

"Kind Words"
"LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?"
"He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart."
"He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour."
"In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not."
"He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved."
Psalm 15:1-5
Such a powerful chapter in the Bible!!!!! Lord, help me to treat people fairly and kindly all the days of my life! Also, to speak kindly to all who I come in contact with!

"Because He Lives"
I know it has been awhile since I've posted on this blog of encouragement. But I had surgery on Monday and was recovering from that. Today, was my first day back to work which means I'm back to doing my daily task. So here it goes. "The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God." Psalm 14:2. What comes to mind when I read this verse is that the Lord was looking down on his dear children. To me I see a picture of God and our loved ones looking over us! 😃 A song that I usually either read or sing in my Devotions is coming to mind.....Because He lives I can face tomorrow!!!! He's the reason we can face our everyday task without fear or worry.
