The body of Christ...

I do apologize for the long period of time with no encouragement on my blog. I’m hoping to get back on here regularly again. I’m gonna share some thoughts with you that are on my mind tonight. Do you ever feel discouraged along the lines of feeling like you never get anything accomplished? But you know good and well that you rise up every morning and work hard. Let me tell you that you are not the only who battles those thoughts. When others make comments and you are already having those thoughts it can be very discouraging and you will probably tell yourself that you are just lazy. Don’t my friend. You are not lazy. Some days just don’t go as planned. You have days when you won’t feel good. You will have days when your mind is else where and it’s hard to accomplish those daily task. May I give you some encouragement tonight? Try to lift yourself up during those times. Do not be little yourself it makes matters worse. I’m preaching to myself along these lines. It takes practice and hard work to not be little yourself when you are discouraged. The best advice I can give you is to draw encouragement from God’s Word, songs and Prayer.

 Matthew 17:20

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

"We should have this perspect of thankfulness..."

As I was driving for work today (it was a long drive) I had plenty of time to think. I love the peaceful time of just being able to sit and think. Anyways back to what I was thinking about. As I passed a semi my brain begin to think about the things we should be thankful for. But we don't think about, such as toilet paper. That has been a big topic during this pandemic. When you would go to the store (and/or ordering online) and pick up toilet paper you probably didn't think of all the processes that go into it. Such as the factories making it, the transportation of getting it to the stores or the mail processing offices, the clerks that stack it on the shelves or the employees at the mail processing offices and lastly the employees that scan your products to purchase it or the employees who scan them to delivery them to your house. That is a lot of employees to get you toilet paper. Something so simple as toilet paper but something to be very thankful for. Lets purpose in our hearts to be thankful for every single thing whether it be something small or big.

Life has been extra busy here lately that is why I've not been blogging.

P.S. You can imagine something besides toilet paper if you like. That's just where my crazy mind went to.๐Ÿ˜‚

Rest

 Matthew 11:28

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Rest is an essential part of our life. Don't feel guilty for getting the rest you need!

Faith...

 Matthew 9:27-29

27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.

28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mighty mountains!!!!!!! May we have Faith like this!

God will take care of us!

Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?"

God also goes on in the next verse to say "Are ye not much better than they?" He was referring to the fowls of the air. I would suggest you read down through the rest of chapter 6 of Matthew. God is telling us not to worry about where are food or clothing is going to come from. He has it all under control!

"Importance of forgiveness...."

Matthew 6:14 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:"

God shows us in the above scripture how important it is to forgive others whether they ask for forgiveness or not.

 Matthew 5:44.......

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

I feel like we all could do better in this area of our lives. To those who don't treat us right, may we PRAY PRAY for them and treat them GOOD. In times when somebody has treated you unfairly or said some hurtful things to you it is really hard to forgive. But the Bible tells us to forgive, love and Pray for them!!!!!!!!๐Ÿ˜Š

Matthew 5:48.....

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

I'll just leave this Scripture right here!

"Blessed"

In my Devotions today I was reading in the book of Matthew.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,............" Matthew 5:3

"Blessed are they that mourn,............." Matthew 5:4

God has given us His blessing to mourn in time of death.

"Blessed are the meek,............." Matthew 5:5

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness,......" Matthew 5:6

May we hunger and thirst for more of Jesus.

"Blessed are the merciful,..........." Matthew 5:7

"Blessed are the pure in heart,..........." Matthew 5:8

"Blessed are the peacemakers,..........." Matthew 5:9

May we have peace with all men!

"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake...." Matthew 5:10

Let us Pray for the persecuted.

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake." Matthew 5:11

During times of others treating you ill let us Pray and love on them!

Blessings that God has given us!

"For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house." Micah 7:6

Lord help me to be the daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece, great niece, great great niece, cousin, sister, wife, daughter in law, granddaughter in law, great granddaughter in law, sister in law, cousin in law, niece in law, great niece in law, great great niece in law and aunt you would want me to be. And other titles I may have forget or failed to mention. Lord help me to do my best to prevent this from happening in my own families lives!

"The LORD is slow to anger,.........." Nahum 1:3

It still amazes me how many times the Bible says that the Lord is slow to anger. May we be more like Jesus!

"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him." Nahum 1:7

Lean on Jesus during the difficult times of your life!!!!๐Ÿ˜Š

Trust

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thing own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

In the night hours when you can't sleep I challenge you to say this Scripture verse to yourself. The Lord has been teaching me to trust in Him and not lean on my own fears or worries about the future.

"Let us be more like Jesus!"

In my Devotions this morning I was reading in Jonah.

Jonah 1:3 says "But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD,......................."

That spoke to me and made me think-Oh, Lord help me to never run from your presence.

Also in Jonah chapter 4 it talks about what our God is.........He is gracious, merciful, slow to anger and of a great kindness. We should strive to be more like God!!!!!

Happy and Loving Christian People

I was listening to a youtube video on the Scriptures in 1 Peter 3. It got me wondering what the whole chapter meant so I went and read it.

"For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that speak no guile:" 1 Peter 3:10

As Christian's we should love the life God has given us. It may have taken me awhile to get to this but God is helping me!

"But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;" 1 Peter 3:14

We should be happy people. We get to serve Jesus and we have hope of Heaven someday!

These two verses really spoke to me this morning in my Devotions!

Don't be...

discouraged my friend! God knows exactly what your going through and He has every detail planned out better than you could ever dream! I've had circumstances in my life that God controlled and they turned out exactly had He wanted them to and not me. Moral of the story is they turned out so much better than I could have ever done. Leave it in God's hands and He will take care of everything perfectly. Trust Him my friend!!!!!!๐Ÿ’š
